Air Ticketing & Overseas Tour Manager

Olanka Travels is a premier travel company operating a highly successful B2C business in Sri Lanka since 2009 with a global presence in the UK, India, Australia, Vietnam, Maldives, UAE and China. Olanka team is currently expanding our global operations, and we are looking for great skilled manager to look after the entire outbound operation from India.

The Role

  • Manage all ticketing administration processes in the most efficient and cost-effective manner for leisure base client tale from India
  • Monitor market fares versus air add-on charts and recommend changes as necessary from published fares, group fares, fare sales, web, low cost carriers, airline contracts and consolidators
  • Negotiate, source and maintain relevant airline contracts direct from airlines
  • Maintain affiliations with consolidator partners
  • Provide out of hours support to the operations team when required
  • Stay informed of regulatory directions
  • Provide periodic air & tour product training to staff
  • Work for team KPIs & drive teams
  • Participate in daily, weekly, monthly review meetings – reports to CEO
  • Recruit & Manage teams from India
  • Responsible to manage the company PNL for India branch

Candidate Requirement

  • Minimum 12 years in travel & tourism experience
  • Minimum 5 years ticketing operations management experience preferably in air ticketing environment
  • Sound exposure in Overseas Holiday / Tour handling experience for Indian customers
  • Experience in managing airline vendor relations and contracts
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, problem solving skills, and ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • A team player with the ability to work with a multitude of departments and staff members representing diverse cultures global
  • Experience in leading & managing teams
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Exposure in sectoral management & tour management to destinations – Maldives, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, UAE, Thailand, Bali, Australia, Türkiye, Malaysia

Stage 1

  • Period: 1 month
  • Interview, Presentation & Evaluation at the end of the training
  • Training allowance will be paid
  • You must pass stage 1 to proceed to the stage 2

Stage 2

  • Period: 3 months
  • On the job training
  • Training allowance + Incentive will be paid
  • The successful completion of the internship will be based on performance at work & final evaluation (written exam + interview + presentation)

Work location: Kohuwala, Monday to Friday.

  • Offer quote and travel itineraries to Vietnam using our systems
  • Provide Vietnam travel consultation to travellers over the WhatsApp

Job Requirement

  • 2 year minimum work experience in Vietnam tours
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written)
  • Preferred age category 24 – 35
  • Great customer care personality

Tour Executive (Inbound)
