Honeymoon Tour to Sri Lanka

Myself and my finacée recently returned from a trip to Sri Lanka that was organised by Olanka Travels. We had a wonderful trip starting in Negombo and finishing in Bentota. Our agent Salini was incredibly helpful and quick with responses to any queries that we had. As my partner is a wheelchair user we asked that the tour cater for this need insofar as is possible. Salini put together a trip that covered landmarks and experiences such as the Yalla National Park, a visit to the beautiful town of Ella and a trip to a sea turtle hatchery, with many more locations besides. Both Salini and Dilan (our Driver) have excellent English which meant that there were no communication issues whatsoever. We could not have done this trip without our Driver, Dilan. He was very competent in his driving, very easy to get along with and we benefitted greatly from his experience as he was able to advise us on the best times to set off etc. and otherwise tell us what we needed when going to a particular location. He has excellent English and really made our trip possible through his knowledge and experience. He also helped without having to be asked when we needed assistance with the wheelchair such as a flights of stairs/steps etc. After 10 days in his company I think it more accurate to can him a friend than a driver. Thank you Dilan. We felt very safe throughout our time in Sri Lanka and would encourage those that are considering a trip to Sri Lanka to go ahead and book it. It is a beautiful place with a lovely people and the local economy benefits from every visitor that they get.
