      Welcome to Bangkok, the city of lights and a nation of smiles. Over the next 7 days, you’ll experience the most fascinating sights and attractions of Bangkok and its surroundings.

      Your adventure in Bangkok begins with a tour of the majestic Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha statue, Wat Pho and a ride along the canal. The Grand Palace is home to ornate temples and stunning images of Lord Buddha from an emerald statue to a 46m long reclining statue. Cruise along the Chao Phraya River on a traditional long-tailed boat and you’ll discover several other significant landmarks of the city.

      Koh Kret is a beautiful island that can be explored by longtail boat or on foot. Immerse yourself in a local community as you explore a local school and a pottery workshop. After that, you’ll head over to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981, explore the Bang Pa In Summer Palace and it’s wonderful architecture and history, along with a visit to Wat Mahatthat and Wat Pra Srisanphet.

      Immerse in the local culture as you venture into the countryside at Klong Mahasawas. Explore a lotus farm by boat and you’ll learn the art of folding lotus petals for offerings to the Buddha. If you’re feeling adventurous, hop onto a E-Tan - a special truck in the local farm.

      The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market can be accessed by boat along the canal. Kanchanaburi province is where the classic movie The Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed. This green region thrives with history and ancient charms like the Thai-Burma Railway Museum and the War Cemetery. It was here that the infamous Death Railway in World War 2 was built.

      While in Kanchanaburi, you’ll take a train ride along the Death Railway; built by the Japanese during the Second World War using forced labour comprising prisoners of war. It is said that for every sleeper laid down on the track, at least one life was lost. After the train ride, a visit to the Erawan Waterfall, a 7-tiered waterfall in Erawan National Park lies in store for you.
