After you arrive in Cambodia at the Phnom Penh airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia and is made up of Buddhist wats and historic treasures. It’s known to be one of the friendliest cities in Asia. The nation’s art and music makes up a majority of its vibrant culture.

Dive into the history of the city by visiting the Choeung Ek memorial, a stupa made of 8,000 human skulls to mark the site of the Killing Fields. Venture further into history as you visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a school turned into a Khmer Rouge torture centre. End your history tour with a visit to the National Museum, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and Wat Phnom.

On your way to Kratie, try a tasty 8-legged spider snack; a local delicacy. Kratie was a trading port between Phnom Penh and Stung Treng. Koh Trong Island is best known for pomelos, rice and various agriculture produce. You’ll experience an authentic Cambodian lifestyle and feast on local delights.

Observe the daily rituals of life on Koh Trong Island as you cycle around the traditional Khmer villages, rice fields and fruit orchards. Koh Trong is an island in the Mekong River. Travel onwards to Kratie City, ideal for spotting river dolphins.

Stung Treng, a small town located on the north east of Cambodia is ideal for a variety of exciting activities. From exploring the iconic Sopheak Mitt Waterfall in the Mekong River, hiking to Preah Rumkel, kayaking through the river while looking at Irrawaddy dolphins through the flooded forests.

Koh Ker temples are known to be one of the most important temples and is often referred to as the Pyramids of Asia. There are approximately 96 temples in this complex, built by an ancient king. Each temple faces west towards the city of Angkor. The significant Koh Ker Temple is approximately 35 metres high.

1 Embark on a boat trip to Tonle Sap Lake. Kampong Phluk Village is an old fishermen’s floating village which comprises of floating schools and police stations. The lake is known to be the largest freshwater lake in southeast Asia.
